MS Service Learning Coordinator

  • Created, wrote, and taught curriculum for computer science courses revolving around HTML, CSS, and Swift coding (iOS), as well as engineered units around the design cycle and maker initiatives within the middle school.

  • Worked closely with my peers in the IT department to create lessons and curriculum that spur innovation and higher- level thinking.

  • Created and co-led a service learning committee that is worked to integrate service opportunities within the curricular framework across departments and divisions of our school.

  • Coordinated and created new Week Without Walls trips for students to Arusha, Tanzania and around the UAE where students partake in service learning opportunities and hands-on curriculum integration.

  • Diversified lessons and units to meet the needs of a school comprised of sixty different nationalities.

  • Served on a wellness committee to look at overall school wellness and initiatives around student, faculty, and community wellbeing.

Middle School Mathematics - 7th grade (pre-algebra) 

  • Managed classes with engaging lessons for about one hundred students.

  • Provided professional learning for colleagues on integrating technology into the classroom and use of Google Apps.

  • Created a new salary model for teachers that was adopted by the school after presenting it to the board of directors and all faculty for implementation.

  • Held evening seminars for parents to better understand the mathematics program and curriculum, while also equipping them with strategies on how to best support their children at home.

  • Led student learning data goal initiative in growth mindset, as well as vertical alignment across divisions.

  • Diversified lessons and units to meet the needs of a school comprised of eighty different nationalities.

  • Instructed two periods of inclusion students through the co-teaching model.
