Kawelle
Buffalo, NY & Vumilia Kenya (March 2011 - Present)

Founder/President

  • Founded a 100% volunteer non-profit 501c3 organization that has built an IT school/center to teach basic computer skills and web-design for the rural village of Vumilia in Kenya.

  • The school serves as the only building with electricity (100% solar powered) in the village and is equipping villagers with the skills necessary to utilize a computer and how to make websites, thus giving them purpose and a job that they can do from their village in Kenya for clients anywhere in the world.

  • Hold/Organize events, meetings, drives, and activities to raise funds for the community Kawelle serves.

  • Set up and organize a board of directors that facilitates initiatives and projects.

  • Organize students from international schools to get involved for a multi-cultural experience, as well as for a service-learning component to their education, as well as setting up International Baccalaureate (IB) projects through interviewing and studying the community of Vumilia further.

  • Built and manage the Kawelle website at www.kawelle.com


Senses Orphanage & Center for Special Needs

Activity Coordinator Volunteer

  • Organized weekly activities for orphaned children with special needs that included sporting events, team-building activities, cooking classes, and art projects.


Philippine Overseas Labor Office

Support and Event Coordinator Volunteer

  • Organized activities and raised support quarterly for laborers of the Philippines who have found themselves in unfortunate circumstances.


TOP Soccer Association
Amherst, NY (November 2009 – July 2012)

Soccer coach for children with down syndrome and autism

  • Taught children with down syndrome and autism from ages five through seventeen the fundamentals of soccer.

  • Organized structured drills and scrimmages that help in bettering soccer skills.


Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Western New York

Mentor to disadvantaged youth within WNY

  • Served as a role model for at-risk youth.

  • Coordinated activities and plans for the enrichment and betterment of the child’s current living situation or lifestyle.

  • Attended monthly meetings to swap insight on the future of the club.

Meal delivery

  • Delivery of meals to the homes of those less fortunate during the holiday season.

  • Mentored middle school aged students in the Western New York area who attend The Chapel for Sunday service.

  • Supervised and helped coordinate activities for students that revolve around the mission of the church.


St. Gregory the Great

  • Planned engaging lessons for students attending religious education at St. Gregory the Great.

  • Attended meetings and training sessions to better prepare for religious education.
